BIOGRAPHICAL
Will’s music is a sonic tapestry woven with threads of Americana, Blues, Dub, Folk, Jazz, Latin and Reggae rhythms that blur the lines of musical category. His
roots based music, sung in English and Spanish, is a reflection of his early exposure to American music and his many years of world travel and cultural experiences as a professional soldier for 20 years. The diversity of his sound began while he was living in Central & South America, where he absorbed the many rhythms of Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition to Latin America, Will has also traveled to the Far East & the South Pacific, North Africa and the Middle East, exposing him
to a variety of world music not commonly heard here at home. Upon his return to the United States, he fused all of these musical influences & styles into his own sound, "SONOMA SOUND".
Will is currently recording & performing with the SONOMA SOUND BAND,
featuring the talents of 5 exceptional musicians. They are Paul Downie
on vocals & percussion, Jay Popky on vocals & guitar, Dean Sophocles
on piano & organ, Jake L'Armand on violin and Robert "Bobby V" Veith on 5 string electric bass. Together, their eclectic performance consists
of conscious lyrics over steady rhythms and wandering melodies.
It is music quite unlike anything you have heard before.
